Anna Asikainen is the Head of Sustainability and Climate Risk Framework at UBS, where she leads the development of the firm’s sustainability and climate risk framework, advises on climate and nature risk, carbon markets, and decarbonization, and oversees monitoring of prudential regulatory requirements, as well as internal risk reporting and external disclosures.

Her journey into sustainable finance began with a deep interest in how climate risk intersects with finance and creating long-term value. With over 15 years of experience in the financial sector, academia and consulting, she has helped organizations develop forward-looking ESG strategies, manage climate-related risks and opportunities, and respond to evolving regulatory and stakeholder demands.

Today, her work bridges the gap between technical sustainability topics and strategic business priorities. She holds a MSc in Economics from Aalto University School of Business and a BSc in International Business from the Helsinki School of Economics.
