Kato Sekubunga Kibuka is Co-Founder & CEO of PowerUP, a Uganda-based clean-tech company developing affordable electric cooking solutions for underserved markets. PowerUP combines metered electric cookers, pay-as-you-go financing, digital monitoring and carbon finance to help households transition away from charcoal and other polluting fuels. Under his leadership, it has expanded its technology across multiple African markets, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia, while building digital measurement systems designed to support high-integrity clean-cooking carbon projects.

Before founding PowerUP, Kibuka led product development at ENGIE Energy Access and previously co-founded solar energy company Power On.
