Naom Monari is a social health innovator and Founder of Bena Care, a social enterprise that is lowering healthcare costs for chronically ill patients by more than half. They operate a robust network of over 10,000 licensed nurses, trained caregivers, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists who deliver personalized care and clinical support in the comfort of patients’ homes. They also bring high-quality hemodiafiltration services directly to communities through state-of-the-art mobile dialysis trucks designed and built in Kenya, and the first of their kind in the region.
Naom has been recgnised by numerous awards and fellowships such as Global citizen waislitz award, Stanford seed and Johnson and Johnson frontline health worker fund. Her work is supported by development partners such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Madiro, Villgro Africa, IDRC and Village capital. She is currently building a blueprint for decentralizing healthcare in Africa – to make high quality care accessible to underserved populations across the continent.
