Rokiatou Traoré is the Co-Founder & CEO of Herou Alliance, based in Mali, that develops an inclusive agroforestry value chain around Moringa. They train and equip women and youth farmers to plant Moringa on degraded lands, transforming them into productive, climate-resilient ecosystems. Their flagship program supports farmers in setting up community nurseries, planting trees, and creating a stable supply chain. Under her direction, Herou Alliance has already planted more than 80,000 Moringa trees, empowered over 2,000 women and youth, and introduced processed Moringa products to local and international markets.

Rokiatou is also recognized globally as a UNCCD Land Hero, climate negotiator, and advocate for community-led climate solutions across the Sahel.
