Samir Shah is the Executive Vice-Chair and Co-Founder of Dvara Holdings, where he steers the strategic direction and portfolio management of its group ventures focused on advancing financial inclusion in India. Under his leadership, Dvara has pioneered a unique venture studio model that builds mission-aligned institutions tackling structural gaps in finance across rural wealth management, agriculture, dairy, health and gig economy segments. Their work has enabled over $26 billion in finance and positively impacted 125+ million lives over the past 17 years.
Prior to Dvara, Samir served as MD & CEO of NCDEX, where he spearheaded transformative agri-market reforms. His earlier leadership roles include Chief Business Officer at DGCX and MD of Thomson Reuters South Asia. Samir holds an MBA in Finance, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and has completed an Advanced Management Programme from Wharton.
