Julieta Luz Porta is the CEO of SphereBio, a personalised cancer vaccines platform. Accelerated by MIT IDEA2, at SphereBio immune cells are trained to attack devastating diseases and are currently targeting glioblastoma (GBM) – the deadliest form of brain cancer. It creates tailored treatments by harnessing the patient’s own tumour tissue to create a special kind of nanoparticle called OncoSpheres.

In addition to her role in the company, Julieta is a mentor to various organisations, supporting young entrepreneurs in creating impactful social startups and initiatives. An engineer, she was also a winner of Endeavor WE and WeXchange by IDB, among others.
