George Akilimali is a social entrepreneur and technology enthusiast. He is the founder and CEO of Smartcore, a social enterprise, and digital learning content development agency. Smartcore is transforming the learning experience and improving the academic performance of 12 million East African secondary school learners through the creation and distribution of locally relevant, interactive digital learning content. George has 5 years of experience working with youth training & mentoring in IT, social entrepreneurship, design thinking, and personal branding. He has also worked with local and global youth organisations, including Digital Opportunity Trust, SHONA, Tanzania Youth Chamber of Commerce, ANZA and the University of Dodoma.
