Carrie Scott
Director, Chief Social Impact Officers Council, The Conference Board
Carrie Scott brings three decades of experience in sustainability, corporate affairs, and reputation management. As director of the Chief Social Impact Officers Council at The Conference Board, she convenes senior leaders shaping the future of sustainability and social impact.
Previously she led the global Sustainability and ESG Office at Novartis, where the company achieved leading ratings for its environmental and social impact performance. She has held senior roles in both the pharmaceutical and consulting sectors, including nearly 20 years at Novartis and more than a decade at Fleishman‑Hillard, an international communications firm.
Carrie is a co-author of the forthcoming book, Navigating the Business of Sustainability: A Practitioner’s Guide, to be published by Elsevier in late 2026.
She is a frequent speaker and lecturer and served on the Board of the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland and Liechtenstein from 2023–2026. She is a member of WomenExecs on Boards, ESG4Boards, and the Street Photography Club Basel. She has worked in the USA, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, and lives in Basel with her family.
