Christian Kroll is Founder and CEO of Ecosia, an ethical search engine that uses advertising revenues to plant trees in areas affected by deforestation. Ecosia is a registered B-Corp, and has to date planted over 100 million trees worldwide. Ecosia plants one tree with approximately every 45 searches, powering all searches with 100% renewable energy and donating 100% of its profits to climate action, with at least 80% financing tree planting programmes in biodiversity hotspots across the world. The company is on track to plant 1 billion trees.
