After conducting her research at EPFL, Lara Gervaise co-founded Virtuosis AI, a spin-off pioneering clinically validated voice biomarkers for early disease detection and continuous health monitoring. With a simple 30-second voice recording, Virtuosis’ technology analyzes vocal cues to assess mental, cognitive, respiratory, and cardio-metabolic health.

A former professional athlete and daughter of engineers, Lara is driven by the ambition to leave a lasting, positive impact on society through fair, explainable, and responsible AI, aiming for better global health. Among several recognitions, Virtuosis AI was named Microsoft Startup of the Year 2023, and President Emmanuel Macron recognized Lara among France’s top 100 AI talents.
