Manuel Laredo Garnica is a Bolivian social entrepreneur, named in 2018 as one of the 25 most important economic leaders in Bolivia. In 2013, he founded Mamut which develops sustainable cities by converting the rubber of used tires into a safety floor for children and sports areas for local people. In the past 6 years, Mamut has reused the rubber of 1,000,000 old tires. It has improved the lives of 500,000 users in Bolivia, Paraguay, and Panama and has won numerous awards including: SOCAP Scholarship Program, San Francisco, USA; High Impact solid waste management Company, Viva Schmidheiny, Costa Rica and High Impact 11 Sustainable Cities DSG ONU, Pacto Global-ONU Bolivia.
