Dr. Shuchin Bajaj is the Founder Director of Ujala Cygnus Healthcare, a for-profit social enterprise delivering high-quality care to underserved communities across North India. Through 28 hospitals (~3,000 beds) in Tier-2/3 towns, he expands lifesaving services – ICU, cardiac, neuro, oncology – where they were previously unavailable, while keeping care affordable. His work centres around equity, prevention and dignity: Sehat Chaupals for community health, generic-first formularies, transparent pricing, and outcome reporting.

He builds local talent and partnerships to strengthen rural health systems and protect families from catastrophic spend. A physician and advocate, Shuchin was named Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year by World Economic Forum 2024.
