These ATMs purify water using UV and RO systems, accept mobile payments, and are remotely monitored to ensure consistent water quality. With operations expanding from Rwanda to other parts of Africa, IRIBA demonstrates how locally led innovation can scale to solve one of the continent’s most pressing challenges.
