Anna is the Co-Founder of Real Food Bar, a company that manufactures nutrient-dense bars that tackle food waste through partnerships with imperfect and surplus produce suppliers, to create the first upcycled protein and fiber bar. Their mission is to equip people with real food options that are better-for-you, better for the planet and help you get more out of life.
Anna and her co-founder have worked toward sustainable production patterns through the use of upcycled ingredients, and partner with farmers across North America to upcycle their imperfect or surplus produce into nutritious vegetable powders that are used in all of their bars. By upcycling, they commit to reducing the 80 billion pounds of food waste in the US each year. In addition, by rescuing produce, they are able to deliver high quality nutrition to the food and nutrition insecure population. In the last twelve months they have donated over $10,000 worth of product to local communities impacted by food insecurity. Their mission is to improve future outcomes with portable nutrition on the go. To that end, they have partnered with Central Texas Food Bank, Detroit Boxing Gym, The Girls Empowerment Network, Girls on the Run, Keep Austin Fed, local hospitals and grocery delivery services within the last twelve months.
