Basima is committed to ensuring a smooth transition to sustainable energy generation by harnessing abundant sunlight as well as real-time monitoring of solar energy assets to track and monetise green power generation and consumption.
A seasoned green tech entrepreneur with over 15 years of expertise in sustainable development, she was a World Economic Forum Foundation Board Member, is a laureate of the Cartier Women’s Initiative in the MENA Region and was named as one of BBC’s 100 most influential women in 2023.
She holds a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and a masters degree in Structural Engineering from Auburn University, USA. She is also an accredited professional by the U.S. Green Building Council since 2016.
