Elizabeth is an Operating Partner with Searchlight Capital Partners, advising the firm on investments in the financial services space, and working with portfolio companies to deliver their strategies and growth ambitions.
She serves on the Boards of Wise plc, the listed global fintech payments leader, TSB Bank plc, one of the UK’s leading retail banks, Vanquis Banking Group (formerly Provident Financial), a FTSE 250 consumer finance provider, Evelyn Partners, a top UK wealth manager and professional services firm, and the non-profit University of Colorado Health Authority. Elizabeth also serving as an investor director for the travel payments startup Currensea, and serve(d) on the advisory boards of Coadjute, Datami, ReachMobile, ReachNext, Digi.me and Bink. Prior boards include SaaS provider ThinkTank (Chair), Hastings Group plc, a FTSE 250 insurance firm, Western Union International Bank, Dollar Financial Group, hibu plc, Home and Savings Bank, and various Barclays JVs.
Elizabeth has a host of blue-chip CMO, strategy and business development experience, including Barclaycard and Barclays’ retail and commercial banking businesses globally; the consumer, commercial and payments businesses of Bank of America; and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a top global law firm. While at Barclays, she also led Barclaycard’s UK co-branded credit card business. In her last full-time executive role she was EVP and Chief Strategy, Product and Marketing Officer with Western Union.
Elizabeth’s professional foundations were built at Morgan Stanley as a financial analyst, and later as an Associate and Partner in the Financial Institutions and Organization practices at McKinsey, where she co-led the ground-breaking “War for Talent” study, which fostered greater focus in this area. Early executive roles were global in scope and included Exco-level posts with Reader’s Digest and Bingham McCutchen.
