Folake Owodunni is the Co-Founder & CEO of Emergency Response Africa, a healthcare technology company that is changing how medical emergencies are managed in Africa, beginning in Nigeria. The platform connects individuals experiencing a medical emergency to a network of first responders, ambulances and hospitals. Since inception, they have managed over 4,500 incidents, reducing response times by 40%-80%, and helping to save lives.

With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, marketing communications and management consulting, Folake has received widespread recognition for her work including from the Aurora Tech Award and the Google Black Founders Fund.

She has a Master’s in Global Health & Development from University College London, a Master’s in Business Entrepreneurship & Technology (MBET) from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and is certified as a First Responder with the Canadian Red Cross.
