Jones Ntaukira, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Zuwa Energy, has been a trailblazer in solar pay-as-you-go solutions in Malawi since 2016. His personal experience of witnessing his grandmother’s home burn due to open fire lighting ignited his mission to co-found Zuwa, an innovative last-mile solar asset financing company. Their goal is to empower individuals and businesses with affordable, reliable solar solutions and complementary technologies for home and productive use while preventing accidents like his grandmother’s.
Jones boasts a background in natural science, business and technology, dedicating the past decade to crafting innovative solutions, whether in international development, software development, business modelling, or cross-functional leadership. Beyond entrepreneurship, he’s an avid opacarophile and environmental sustainability advocate, committed to driving positive change in both digital and real worlds.
