Meseret (Mesi) is a multi-award-winning executive leader, ambassador, and social entrepreneur and the first recognized Canadian to call for national and international responses to economic justice policies to address economic harm in the Canadian Parliament. She wears many hats,
advocating for addressing health and economic inequality, and champions the development of policies and technologies to dismantle barriers for marginalized communities in poverty. Born and raised in Ethiopia, Meseret takes pride in being the mother of the lovely daughter of
Nathania.

As the CEO of the Canadian Center for Women Empowerment (CCFWE), Meseret has become a driving force for shaping policies through systemic change, and technology to advance economic safety for women in Canada. She collaborates with consumer lawyers, fintech firms,
the tourism industry, financial institutions, private companies, telecommunication, energy companies, and the federal government. Her work bridges the gap between technology and economic justice, and public health inequalities, and she has conducted groundbreaking
research to shape women’s economic policy.
