Dr. Morgan DeFoort is the Managing Partner of Factor E, an impact investment platform focused on technology-driven solutions for climate challenges in agriculture, water and energy in emerging markets. He is also a Partner at Equator, a venture capital firm investing in tech-enabled, early-stage ventures that promote an equitable climate transition in Sub-Saharan Africa.

With over 20 years of experience working across India and East Africa, Morgan is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology expert. Previously, he led R&D programs at Colorado State University and supported university cleantech spinouts.

He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Physics.
