Recovery rates for anxiety and depression have stagnated, Sarah Bateup is tackling this international problem. She has demonstrated how year on year it is possible to increase recovery rates. Using the digital transcripts of thousands of patients, Sarah is learning what works for whom. She has worked to transform this learning into the first clinical decision support tools that provide CBT therapists with live guidance whilst they are treating patients. Sarah demands high standards and is driving the transformation of mental health care. Sarah has delivered 27,000 hours of CBT to patients in the NHS. She founded the first CBT primary care service in the South West of England and has strived to make a difference to patients and clinicians alike. She was named as one of the top 50 female leaders in healthcare in 2018.
