Hitoshi Kawaguchi
Chief Sustainability Officer, Nissan
As Chief Sustainability Officer of Nissan, Kawaguchi leads the company’s sustainability initiatives to reduce its environmental impact and deliver sustainable mobility to customers. Kawaguchi joined the company in 1976 after graduating from the faculty of economics at Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo. Under his leadership, Nissan is executing Nissan Sustainability 2022, the company’s plan to reduce its environmental impact, strengthen diversity and inclusion, and enhance governance, in line with the Nissan M.O.V.E. to 2022 midterm plan. Nissan Sustainability 2022 includes the strategic mid-term environmental action plan, Nissan Green Program 2022.
