Gilad is an experienced agritech entrepreneur and investor, who is deeply passionate about utilizing cutting-edge technologies in solving real world challenges. He is CEO of Tropic which is making tropical agriculture more productive and sustainable by using cutting-edge genetic innovation, including CRISPR gene editing, to increase crop resistance to critical diseases and reduce waste in the supply chain.

He is a former Navy Ship Commander in the Israel Defense Forces (Ret. Lieutenant Colonel) and holds a B.Sc. in industrial engineering from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
