Arash Tayebi is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Kara Technologies, a tech start-up based in Auckland, New Zealand. Arash has a PhD in engineering from the University of Auckland. He founded Kara Technologies in 2017, in hope for improving accessibility to sign language for the Deaf using digital humans and artificial intelligence. Kara team works closely with the Deaf community in New Zealand. They have created an MVP as well as a small library of children’s book in New Zealand Sign Language (signed by Niki, Kara‘s in-house avatar) and collaborated with international companies in entertainment.
