Ana is the Co-Founder and Head of Strategy of Sincroniza Educação, an organization whose purpose is synchronizing educational systems, schools, and teachers with new practices and processes to promote student learning in Brazilian public schools. Between 2017 and 2022, Sincroniza’s projects have reached more than 233,000 teachers in more than 31,000 schools throughout the 26 Brazilian states. These numbers represent an indirect impact on more than 4.3 million students. The projects are related to educational technology, internet connectivity in schools, and teacher professional development regarding active learning methodologies, differentiated instruction, and blended learning.
Ana Paula has a master’s degree in International Educational Development from Teachers College (Columbia University) and a postgraduate in Education Management from Instituto Singularidades. She graduated in Journalism from ECA-USP and worked at Veja magazine for three years before deciding to redirect her career to education. She is part of the Lemann Foundation’s community of educational leaders (Lemann Fellow and Talentos da Educação) and winner of the Columbia EdTech Design Challenge 2018 when she developed an edtech business idea to support inclusive education in Brazil.
