Ben Jeffreys is the CEO of ATEC International, a global leader in PAYGO clean cooking. As ATEC’s CEO and strategic leader Ben has an unwavering commitment to unlocking the potential in others. Ben brings over 14 years experience in managing teams across social enterprise, international development and corporate sectors. Before his role at ATEC, Ben worked as National Development Manager at School for Social Entrepreneurs, Product Development Manager at Oxfam, and Retail Sales Executive at Westfield.
Ben moved to Cambodia in 2015 to commercialise ATEC’s biodigester prototype into a social enterprise which was the winner of the inaugural Google Impact Challenge. Since then, ATEC has now also expanded to Bangladesh, rolled out a second patented PAYGO cooking product range – eCook – and has been working towards solving clean cooking for the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP).
Ben’s contribution in devising an inclusive business model enabled ATEC’s clean cooking solutions embedded with an IoT system that results in generating real time data validation of carbon reduction which can be a milestone for achieving universal access to clean energy and zero carbon reduction in clean cooking.
