Martin was a Co-Founder of 2N Management, the management partner for early-stage circular economy companies providing business support, talent, funding and partnerships to help them accelerate growth and achieve success. He is an award winning entrepreneur, innovator, author and sustainability CEO who has held senior roles at Apple, Disney and EMI and was the Founder and CEO of Ceviche and Andina restaurants and food products.
He is a Board member at Big Issue Invest, Future Fit Foundation, Recovery Focus and Global Charities and is a Senior Advisor at Ashoka. He is an operations, marketing, strategy, impact investment and social finance professional who has worked in the private and third sectors internationally and across different industries such as tech, food, media, consumer products and social enterprise for over 20 years.He worked for Steve Jobs at Apple, launching and heading iTunes Pan EU and at Disney he ran the music business, the digital transformation which resulted in the precursor to Disney+ and worked with Miley Cyrus, High School Musical and Marvel.
At Ceviche and Andina, he introduced Europe to sustainable Peruvian food, won Best New Sustainable Restaurant of the Year Award, GQ’s Innovator of the Year Award, Entrepreneur of the Year by the UK Chamber of Commerce and became a best selling author. For many years he has also guided and advised several charities and social enterprises, particularly those tackling climate change, inequality, mental health, disadvantaged young people and poverty.
Martin is now CEO of The Institute of Imagination, a charity and social enterprise that designs and delivers highly engaging, pioneering and accessible programmes that support the educational, cultural and creative health of children and families. Locally, nationally and internationally, through imagination, they focus on the vital development of creativity, problem solving and wellbeing. These in turn provide opportunities for human thinking and innovation which are essential for the next generation’s ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing world.
