Fajar is Co-Founder & COO of Banoo which aims to help improve people’s food resilience by providing affordable technology that can increase aquaculture production and escalate fish farmer income by increasing water quality and dissolved oxygen in deep water. They do that by integrating micro-bubble generators, IoT sensors, solar panels and mobile apps that creates a reliable system to not only monitor, but also give action to the pond’s condition.
Hailing from a humble farming family in Indonesia, he is driven by purpose and collaboration. His journey led him to pursue a Master of Science in Innovation Management and Product Development at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, supported by an LPDP Scholarship.
His experience includes researching sustainable business models for Southeast Asian vertical farming startups, working as a researcher at Center for Energy Studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada, and founding Banoo Indonesia, with a mission to bring technology for a more productive and sustainable aquaculture.
