Federico Miatton is the Co-Founder and CTO of Fantine.io, where he is currently leading the development of a platform that empowers coffee growers in developing countries to earn a fair price for their crops and become more independent from speculative commodities markets. Before Fantine, he worked in the R&D of cutting-edge products and solutions at companies such as Intel, SoftKinetic (now Sony) and Alcatel-Lucent. His technical expertise includes distributed ledger technologies (i.e. blockchain), machine learning, edge computing and 5G. He received a MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Padova in 2010 and the Ignite Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2018.
