Henry May is a Social Entrepreneur from the UK currently living in Colombia where he currently serves as the CEO of CoSchool, an education business focussed on Social & Emotional learning in K-12 education. He has set up two successful social impact organisations; The Huracan Foundation and Coschool. Henry has been recognised as a “rising star” of Colombian business by Dinero magazine, as “The teacher closing the inequality gap” by El Tiempo newspaper, and as a “Game Changer” by CCTV China for his work with The Huracan Foundation. Coschool is a social enterprise in Colombia that designs and implements methodologies for developing social & emotional skills in youth & teachers in the post-conflict country. To date, they have impacted over 20,000 students and 5,000 teachers directly. They have a team of 50 staff in 5 locations of Colombia.
They were named as a top 100 global education innovation by HundrED Finland in 2020 and 20201. They have been awarded grant funding from Gates Foundation and Templeton World Charity Foundation,amongst others to develop their latest approaches to teacher training on SEL using technology, through their methodology Edumoción. The Huracan Foundation is an innovative global football charity (UK based) that accelerates early stage football & education projects lead by Teach for All participants around the world. To date, they have supported 22 projects from 14 countries, impacting over 1500 children from some of the most underserved parts of the world. The charity has over 60,000 Facebook followers and has been recognized as a football for good project by FIFA.
