Monica Fonseca
Co-Founder, The Lab Girl
 
Mónica Fonseca is a journalist specialised in education, culture, and politics, certified in diversity, equity and gender, with a career spanning over 20 years of experience. Her career began in radio and television in 2001. She was part of the presentation team at Noticias RCN, creating important segments like Mundo Digital for the news programme and Ciencia, Salud y Tecnología for NtN24. She is an expert in digital media and has become a significant reference in sustainability, innovation, technological inclusion and social impact. She is the director and voice of the Mi Sala Es Tu Sala podcast, a space that gives prominence to women leaders in various fields, and she also advises and narrates for the El Aire que Respiro podcast on environmental issues. She is also the Co-Founder of The Lab Girl, a wellness startup, and works as a sustainability advisor and spokesperson for various brands. 
 
She is a highly recognised personality on social media. Since 2006, she has been an Ambassador for the Environment for the United Nations, a leader in the Climate Reality Project, and a student of the professional certificate program: Chief Sustainability Officer at MIT. She is an activist for human rights, ethical practices on social media, gender equity, and the environment. Board member for Natalia Ponce de Leon Foundation and collaborator (fundraising and other tasks) for Juanfe.org, WW4theWorld, This Is About Humanity and recently she was named as the Head of Project Development of a new programme that is aim to assist and empower women and young girls in vulnerability thanks to Solidaridad Por Colombia organisation. 
 
Currently, she collaborates on a sustainability segment on Noticias RCN called Nuestro Mundo Sostenible and produces content, supports, and advises brands and products that require her services.
