Hira Batool Rizvi is the Co-Founder and CEO of SheKab. A Fulbright scholar, an Acumen Fellow, and a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology – Hira believes in making a positive impact in the world by using her background in engineering, technology and policy. In 2015, Hira returned to Pakistan to solve the problems of daily mobility for women of her city, Islamabad. Hira launched SheKab in 2016, which became Pakistan’s first subscription-based monthly carpool service for working women.
SheKab is essentially digitalising the decades old community based carpooling services using a web-based platform, and a smartphone app designed and developed by women. The App is used to connect registered riders with vetted and verified partner drivers (both men and women), who provide carpool services at nominal subscription fees. Their mission is to provide women and girls an equitable transportation solution that is safe, affordable and reliable.
